OUR NEW BUNNY!! EWW

On a typical day my kids are outside playing, pretty much the whole day!! They play whatever they can think of. They have 6 acres to run wild on, and they take advantage of that. I keep the front door open so I can hear their laugh's as well as there cry's. This particular day I am in the house working on the computer and Payson, (the cute one in the picture) comes in saying "Bunny, Mom. Bunny, Mom, bunny, bunny." I look over at him he has the cutest smile on his face and the look of a proud little boy. That's when it all goes done hill. His so called "bunny" is a dead mouse. Yeah, a dead mouse. Normally I don't touch or even look at them. What do you do when your 22 month old baby is holding an ugly disease infested animal? Luckily I was holding a thick nylon bag (for shipping socks) in my hand I grabbed the mouse, or bunny, from him set it on the floor. Let Gavin take care of that one, while I washed and washed and washed his hands and arms. Plus I changed his clothes and wiped him down with hand sanitizer, today we used it as body sanitizer. All day long he kept asking me "Where's bunny? Where bunny go Mom?" Then when Daddy got home he told Jon the whole story for about 20 minutes. It is too bad that we can't understand him more. But we could understand the "bunny"!!!

FISHING FUN!!

Well as some of you may know we have got a new boat!! And love it. It was so cold outside but Gavin just had to try out the tube. Needless to say he couldn't talk any one else on to it.

But.....we did fish!! And we actually caught some!! This was the first one that Preston caught. He was a nice 3 LB cut-throat. We have been fishing at Sandwash Reservoir. They have tagged hundreds of fish with red tags. If you catch one you get a prize. The kids are more excited to see if there is a tag on it then to see how big it is.
One of these days we will get the red tag fish. Until then we will keep catchin' the big ones!
The fish were taking our hooks so fast Jon set this pole down, turned around and grabbed it in mid-air. This fish was going to take the whole pole with it!! But he couldn't out trick little Gracie!!
Well our fishing had to come to an end due to the weather. We got poured on!!

Not a bad catch for 1.5 hours!!
Preston was the lead fisherman!! He caught 4 of the seven and even set the hook for one of them. I went to help Gavin and he was holding the pole and yells "I caught one, I caught one!"
Why a boat you ask? So we can spend quality time as a family and make memories!! What a catch!! By the way Grandpa, Payson is now saying "catch fishy pole!" You better go shopping!!

WILD AND CRAZY KIDS!!

We had just gone hunting the night before for pheasants. Jon thought that he would take me out before the seasons end. Payson thought that was so much fun. He picked up sticks and starting shooting at the pheasants. He would say buxk buxk quack quack, then run off laughing. The next day he found a pen on the floor and starting shooting Jons ceramic duck. You can tell by the look on his face that this is serious business man!!! So I had the camera out for this and the other kids went wild!!! They were trying to get there pictures taken as well. I think my kids are attention deprived!! Well at least that is what they think. (I have no idea how this got underlined and blue, be nice, I am still learning!)
And the crowd went crazy!! Jumping and trying to get there picture on the camera. They were jumping and twirling. It was fun getting some of these images on camera. They don't know what serious business is!!

Look at her hair and skirt, he is all about wild!!

It is never a dull moment when you have kids around. Always something going on and someone being wild. The hard part is getting it caught on film!!

APRIL FOOLS!!

So the kids (Gracie mostly) thought it would be so much fun to pull a joke on Daddy for April Fools Day. They had many ideas, one was to mix all of the stuff in the fridge and give daddy a drink of it and tell him that it is way healthy and yummy!! Mommy knocked that idea down fast. (Jon owes me) Then they wanted to make the food all different colors and tell him that we don't know what happened. So............We worked out magic and made blue pancakes. Yummy!!!
Can't tell she is up to trouble can you?
They wanted a picture to show that we really did have blue pancakes....
And green eggs. They loved the pancakes but weren't quite sure about the green eggs, until....
We made them look a little more friendly!!! Daddy was so surprised and scared to eat the dinner they had conspired to make!!!

Ponying Around

When Grandpa wasn't looking we decided to give his horse a make over. Beautify him a little bit.
It took Grandpa a minute to catch it. The kids just giggled with Grandpa then posed for a picture with Grandpa's new invention.
Here is the group picture, yes the flower is still in if you look close. The lighting wasn't that good in Ryan's shop. But it was the only place for a picture. And Gracie wanted her flower back!!
Here is the boys helping out Grandpa. They thought that it was pretty fun to brush the horse.
Those 2 weren't the only ones that wanted to help. Payson found a brush then decided to try his hand at it. When we first got there he didn't want to have anything to do with the horses. Then decided they weren't so bad and he rode around with me for over an hour!!!
But first he had to make sure the horse's winter coat was all gone. There was hair everywhere. And I mean everywhere by time we got done.
Here is Payson helping Grandpa again with Skittles. This is the horse that the 3 oldest rode, yes even Preston. He thought he was big enough to "drive". Well about 3 seconds later Gracie was almost clothes lined by a hanging wire (not a live one). Grandpa ran to there rescue. Then Skittles decided to take a trot and she ran past me and Payson on Coyote. Gracie was holding on to Preston while Preston had dropped the raines and was holding on to the saddle horn. He was laughing and Gracie was screaming. This time Coyote and I ran to there rescue. It is a good thing that Skittles fast speed is mock 2 MPH. After that Gracie threw her hat in and called it enough for one day.
Payson still wanted to brush even after the saddle was off. He just couldn't get enough.
A cute picture of the kids having a fun day.
All in all it was loads of fun. A day the kids will remember!! And off they rode into the sun!!

UTAH JAZZ Game

Back in February, yes February I am behind, we went to the Jazz game with Gavin and Gracie. We started in Sandy and rode the trax to the game. This is Gracie and her friend Riley.
Rock on!! Here is Gavin and Kayden on trax. We rode over with our friends and these are 2 of there kids.
Go Jazz!!! They played against the Sacramento Kings!! Go Kyler Korver!!
He is Gracie's favorite!!! #26
See Gavin and the Jazz dancers!!! This is as close as he dared to get!!
Opp, there he is again. Who was in charge of this camera any way?
Another one of the Jazz, Gavin insisted on me having all of them on the blog and wanted me to tell you his favorite player is Darrin Williams #8.
And of course we were all so excited the Jazz WON!!! Yeah, go Jazz!! Now only if they can win again tonight!!

Gavin's Pictures

So the other day we went to my Dad's house and let the kids play. Gavin found his new passion. Taking pictures!!! Here are a few I hope you enjoy them. This first one is Preston and part of Whiskers.
Here is Gracie and the new pup. He got better as the days went on. As you can see this one actually shows most of the dog.
And here comes Goose.
He is getting closer.
This is Gavin's Aunt Raquel's horse. Look at this picture!!
Well, Hello Goose. How are you? Very friendly we found out.
This one is my favorite. He wanted to do a group picture. Gracie didn't want to join the group. She was to busy trying to catch skittles to ride.
