GRACIE STARTED KINDERGARTEN!!

My little princess has started Kindergarten.
As you can tell she was really shy and scared.
I wish, she was so ready. She said she had been waiting for this day for a long time.
Isn't she so cute???

All ready for school!!
At least she did look back!! Preston really misses her. Payson likes that he has Preston all to himself. Oh the trouble they will get into!

GAVINS FIRST DAY OF 2ND GRADE

Gavin is growing so fast!! He has been so excited to go back to school. Isn't he so handsome!!?
It's no wonder the girls just want to chase him all recess. I am glad he hates it.
He says it takes away from his time to play basketball. Thats my boy!!!!
I hope he can stay that focused in high school!! I know his parents didn't!!
Peace out, the bus is coming.

I KNEW THIS DAY WOULD COME

Partners in crime!! I was warned that 2 little boys close in age would equal only trouble.

I have had it pretty easy. But now they are getting older, they are also getting mischievous.

The scariest part is they are so proud of their work.
It is a good thing they are soooo cute!!!!

They stuck there hands, hopefully that's all, in daddy's exhaust pipe on his truck. I am glad their whole bodies wouldn't fit, because I am sure they would have stuck them in there as well.

SUMMERS END #2

And a fishing we went. And had many successful days, minus Fish Lake. We went to Cottonwood Reservoir to try and catch something different besides trout. We got into some nice little catfish. I personally thought they were disgusting. But as you can see the kids had a blast. They thought the release was much more fun than the catch. They are braver than me. I won't even touch them. No, no, now I haven't gone all girly on ya. I just don't like catfish. I will still gut a trout. But ew, don't make me touch those ugly, stinky, poky catfish.
In case you haven't noticed. I don't like them. But as you can see Preston likes to rub his cookie on them, then eat them. I am sure not on purpose, but hey he is Jon's boy. Loves the outdoors and all the extra spices and seasonings that come with the food.

And who can forget the crawdad fishing. I think this was one of Gavin's favorite things to do. Especially when he stuck it on his Dad's arm. Jon still has the marks to prove it did hurt.
And who could forget the birthdays. Not me my little baby turned 2. That is the age where they are officially not a baby anymore. I am so sad!! However, as you all know he will always be my baby. Isn't he the sweetest little thing. I promise he is not spoiled, too much. Just ask him, he's the boss. He isn't even afraid to tell Jon that.

And my Gavin has turned 8. He has been looking forward to this day for a long time. He now gets to start scouts and of course be baptized. My oldest is 8. AGH!!

And who could forget our favorite thing about summer 2009, hanging out with family. We were fortunate enough to go to the cabin's at Jon's work and hang out with his family. The kids had so much fun. Here is Payson and Grumpa Donald watching everyone catch the crawdads. While Jon tries to convince Jakey that there really are fish in the ponds. Now to the craziness of school, dance and more sports starting!! Good bye summer, till nxt year!!

SUMMERS END #1

The summer of 2009 is coming to an end. We had a very busy summer. We bought our house and every free minute we had went to doing something on the house, whether it be yard work or the kitchen. (Hopefully pictures coming soon.) On this event we went to Fish Lake to see a friend that I hadn't seen since Junior High, Sarah Hardy. She lives in California and was there for the week. It had been over 15 years. She was just as sweet and cute as ever!!
Well we didn't catch any fish, but the kids sure did have a blast playing on the boat ramp! Of course it wouldn't be a ride home from fishing if the kids weren't soaking wet.
We also went to the Duchesne 24th of July parade. Our first parade with only one kid to pick up candy. And he did a great job of picking it up. He had the whole road full of candy all to himself.
Here is Preston and Gracie (behind Preston) on the Bridgeland Ward float. This here is the reason why Payson had the road of candy to himself.
Here is Gavin with his cousin Rorik. They got to throw candy to everyone. My kids were so excited, they finally got to be in a parade. They have always wanted to be in it instead of spectators.
Here is Gracie and some of her friends on the float waving good bye to a wonderful summer!! (More to come!)

OUR NEW BUNNY!! EWW

On a typical day my kids are outside playing, pretty much the whole day!! They play whatever they can think of. They have 6 acres to run wild on, and they take advantage of that. I keep the front door open so I can hear their laugh's as well as there cry's. This particular day I am in the house working on the computer and Payson, (the cute one in the picture) comes in saying "Bunny, Mom. Bunny, Mom, bunny, bunny." I look over at him he has the cutest smile on his face and the look of a proud little boy. That's when it all goes done hill. His so called "bunny" is a dead mouse. Yeah, a dead mouse. Normally I don't touch or even look at them. What do you do when your 22 month old baby is holding an ugly disease infested animal? Luckily I was holding a thick nylon bag (for shipping socks) in my hand I grabbed the mouse, or bunny, from him set it on the floor. Let Gavin take care of that one, while I washed and washed and washed his hands and arms. Plus I changed his clothes and wiped him down with hand sanitizer, today we used it as body sanitizer. All day long he kept asking me "Where's bunny? Where bunny go Mom?" Then when Daddy got home he told Jon the whole story for about 20 minutes. It is too bad that we can't understand him more. But we could understand the "bunny"!!!

FISHING FUN!!

Well as some of you may know we have got a new boat!! And love it. It was so cold outside but Gavin just had to try out the tube. Needless to say he couldn't talk any one else on to it.

But.....we did fish!! And we actually caught some!! This was the first one that Preston caught. He was a nice 3 LB cut-throat. We have been fishing at Sandwash Reservoir. They have tagged hundreds of fish with red tags. If you catch one you get a prize. The kids are more excited to see if there is a tag on it then to see how big it is.
One of these days we will get the red tag fish. Until then we will keep catchin' the big ones!
The fish were taking our hooks so fast Jon set this pole down, turned around and grabbed it in mid-air. This fish was going to take the whole pole with it!! But he couldn't out trick little Gracie!!
Well our fishing had to come to an end due to the weather. We got poured on!!

Not a bad catch for 1.5 hours!!
Preston was the lead fisherman!! He caught 4 of the seven and even set the hook for one of them. I went to help Gavin and he was holding the pole and yells "I caught one, I caught one!"
Why a boat you ask? So we can spend quality time as a family and make memories!! What a catch!! By the way Grandpa, Payson is now saying "catch fishy pole!" You better go shopping!!
